On October 7, Eliya Cohen and his fiancée, Ziv, hid together in the death shelter in Re’im, clinging to hope as terrorists stormed the area. They were discovered, and Eliya was shot and wounded before being forcibly taken captive. Ziv was left behind, hiding under bodies, believing she had lost him forever.

For 505 days, Eliya endured unimaginable suffering in captivity—isolation, deprivation, and darkness—never knowing if he would see his loved ones again. But against all odds, he survived. And now, he is finally home.
