Home by the Sea specializes in empowering, strengthening, and healing families and communities from special and disadvantaged backgrounds, using the sea. Through accessible surfing and sailing, we form life changing experiences with significant impacts on the lives of our participants, assisting them in facing real life challenges.

Following the atrocities of October 7th, our marine-therapy program has brought strength and renewed hope to children and communities forcibly

displaced from their homes and most affected by the war. In a safe refuge, our participants can regain basic feelings of control, balance, and belief, and begin to overcome their trauma. 

We achieve this by helping participants regain feelings of stability, control and self confidence; strengthen their feelings of trust in the community and surroundings and reestablish a sense of capability and belief, assisting to build back resilience

Over 35 Safe Harbor groups operate across the country, including Carmia, Ein Habsor, Ein Hashlosha, Erez, Gvaram, Gvulot, Kerem Shalom, Meflasim,

Mivtachim, Nirim, Nir Itzchak, Nir Oz, Ohad, Pri Gan, Qiryat Shemona, Sde Nitzan, Sderot, Yad Mordechai, Yated, Zikim.
