Featuring both students and faculty—including leaders from Columbia, Tulane, and the University of Maryland—the discussion highlighted personal experiences, institutional responses, and strategies for resilience and advocacy. Together, the panel shed light on the challenges Jewish students face and the efforts to create safer, more inclusive campus environments.

Maya Platek, a senior at Columbia University studying Economics, Political   Science, and History. A former IDF Spokesperson Unit content writer, she   serves as Student Body President of the General Studies Student   Council.
Gil Zussman, the Kenneth Brayer   Professor and Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia   University. He has been a member of the Columbia Antisemitism Task   Force.
Josie Leit, grew up in Rochester, NY, and strengthened her connection to   Israel through the Journey for Identity program. Now at Tulane University,   she works to foster understanding of Israel and engage non-Jewish students in   pro-Israel advocacy.
Corey Shdaimah, the Daniel Thursz Distinguished Professor of Social Justice   at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Her research focuses on   people navigating and improving policies, particularly in legal and social   welfare systems.
